lyrics
Forced to flee from their homes never to return
The Aagen drift endlessly, no purpose, they’re lost
Among the scarred and battered a man stood strong and tall
Eldred Baines the first, saviour of them all
Cast aside, left to die, people of the waves
Abandoned by the gods they loved, tormented and ashamed
A call to arms all able, we strike in Mother’s name
The temples of The Archite are going up in flames
Slayer of The Titan, stronger than them all
Eldred’s will unbending, all answer to his call
To The Archite border The Aagen horde set sail
To break The Holy City, a quest they cannot fail
Cast aside, left to die, people of the waves
Abandoned by the gods they loved, tormented and ashamed
A call to arms all able, we strike in Mother’s name
The temples of The Archite are going up in flames
As the moon arises one still and silent eve
Eldred hears a gentle call and rises to his feet
Stepping on the deck he sees a silver form
Goddess of the sea, Serpent of the storm
Visions flash before his eyes, of water, wood and stone
Of luscious land, of paradise, The Aagen coming home
Burn The Archite temples, The Father on his throne
This home The Gods will grant you, as King you will be known
Aagen blades pierce the hearts of Holy Men and slaves
All who stand before them, who dare to bar the way
The temple burns in silence, The Archite people slain
Eldred Baines the saviour, first King of his name

It may not be a surprise to know that my introduction to this band was when they opened for Deströyer 666. I admit, their name didn't fill me with an abundance of anticipatory enthusiasm beforehand, but goddamn! did they own that stage while they were out there! Morts

I purchased Lunar Falls without hearing a second of it, assuming some kind of folk, maybe even reminiscient of Heilung. The latter it is not, but atmospheric and yet dark folk it is indeed! Beautifully fragile, peaceful and pristine, these 44 minutes should be enjoyed as a whole, resulting in a seamless and undeniably calming listening experience. If you're in any way prone to folk, there is nothing left to be desired here. Take a break from the rush that everyday life is, and breathe. Stunning. David Fischer
