Binding of sea, binding of stone
Forging a power that no one has known
No longer Aagen, the wild is tamed
The kingdom of Eldrand lives on in your name
The King of The Aagen, the mountains he sieged
Breaking The Einar, their courage and steel
The Stone Sovereign bent, buckled and bowed
An Aagen king wore their Einar crown
Binding of sea, binding of stone
Forging a power that no one has known
No longer Aagen, the wild is tamed
The kingdom of Eldrand lives on in your name
New banners fly, Serpent an Axe
A union of cultures, an undying pact
Centuries onward the old world will fade
Eldred the First, his name will remain
Dragon and Spirit united at last
A new faith is born abandon the past
Water and Earth bound in the flames
Historic war, iron and pain
Our lands are battered salted and torn
From his new palace new oaths are sworn
“I swear to all gods of Earth, Sea and Sky
This nation will rise long after I die!”
Killers and preachers, beggars and teachers
All know the legend of Eldred the first
Some kings won fame, but none quite the same
As Eldred the First of His name
Killers and preachers, beggars and teachers
All know the triumph of Eldred the first
None as commanding, no idol standing
Like Eldred the First of His Name
Binding of sea, binding of stone
Forging a power that no one has known
No longer Aagen, the wild is tamed
The kingdom of Eldrand lives on in your name
New banners fly, Serpent and Axe
A union of cultures, an undying pact
Centuries onward the old world will fade
Eldred the First, his name will remain

It may not be a surprise to know that my introduction to this band was when they opened for Deströyer 666. I admit, their name didn't fill me with an abundance of anticipatory enthusiasm beforehand, but goddamn! did they own that stage while they were out there! Morts

I purchased Lunar Falls without hearing a second of it, assuming some kind of folk, maybe even reminiscient of Heilung. The latter it is not, but atmospheric and yet dark folk it is indeed! Beautifully fragile, peaceful and pristine, these 44 minutes should be enjoyed as a whole, resulting in a seamless and undeniably calming listening experience. If you're in any way prone to folk, there is nothing left to be desired here. Take a break from the rush that everyday life is, and breathe. Stunning. David Fischer
